David, I am trying so hard to pull myself together, but it is so hard! I know you would not want any of us to be sad or suffer, but it is inevitable, you are such a great, loving and caring man, that you are missed so very bad. I love you so much, and I will try to have a better day for you.

David Goerky, My brother.......David was the BEST brother in the world. He was a selfless, gentle, loving, caring man of God. He loved his family with all he had, David was always there for family or friend alike. David struggled with many health issues for a long time, and he was the strongest man I know. I could never have been as STRONG as he was to face what he went through, he will forever be an inspiration to me, and to many others. David was a Respitiory Theripist for 35 years, then retiring due to his extreme health issues.
David is now with our Lord and Savoir Jesus, along with our beloved Mother and father, Betty & Charles Goerky. He is now whole and happy! No more pain, weariness or problems. No more storms! He has passed through the door of death, to pass no more! He ia a live and well, seeing all the glorius things of heaven, and the universe!! I know David is having so much fun, with his scientific mind, he is soaking it all in, and has all eternity to discover all God has done, that we can not imagine in our mortal mind!! We love you David, and we will all be together VERY soon! HAVE FUN!!!!

David's OBITUARY
GOERKY, David P., age 57 of Fairborn, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Ohio State University Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Betty Goerky. He is survived by his wife, Diane Goerky of Fairborn, OH; sisters, Karen (Allen) Smith of Jacobus, PA, Theresa (Kevin) Amburgy of Middletown, OH; brother, Nick (Karen) Goerky of West Alexandria, OH, his beloved dog, Chip, several nieces, nephews and friends. David was a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 35 years, a member of the National Board of Respiratory Care, and the Ohio Respiratory Care Board. He worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital for 28 years and retired from Good Samaritan after 7 years. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N. Valley Rd., Xenia. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at GracePoint Church, 2185 Ste Rte 235, Xenia, OH with Rev. Don Shurts officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
