You and mom are the best!Hi Mark Thanks for posting the wruoedfnl moments from the Obama inauguration. With the photo of the flag-draped youth smiling contentedly, and the two folks next to him beaming ecstatically, I was struck with the gospel miracle of transformation in the symbol of our flag. During the past 8 years it had come to represent the Republican Party, Nationalism, Unilateralism, intolerance toward immigrants, disrespect for international treaties and human rights, and GOD the competitive one, the judgmental one holding Americans up to a standard defined by the likes of Rick Warren.Glad to see that your blog is up-and-running again, disseminating your ruminations on the interweb. Cousin Laura and Greg, You need to understand about my scduhele with CTU online of working towards my Bachelors Degree and stillworking with new man instructor James Taylor and he lets me to work on all of my assignments that falls on June 16th. My Dadand I wish you the best wishes to the both of you. Laura, pleasetell your parents that my father and your uncle Dave and Cousin Diana won’t make it to your wedding it cause of my assignments are due to time management and hope you understand. Cousin Diana & Uncle DaveQuest / Had the same idea and went for a vacation to check it out. Beautiful area with tons of torsiut attractions. High altitude took some getting used to. Low crime rate. Cost of living appeared comparable to Texas but open job market was mainly in service / tourism industry. Met many local people with strong religious and family values. Denver had a much more diverse job market. Climate great in summer but winters can be extreme breathtaking vistas of snow covered aspens.Chris R / Great place. Colorado Springs is called the Beltbuckle of the Bible Belt bsuacee it has so many evangelical organizations like Focus on the Family. It also hase a huge military population two military bases, the Air Force Academy, and over 50% of the population are veterans. As you can imagine, it is a very conservative town. It’s also one of the most picturesque around. Pikes Peak rises majestically above the foothills like a painting. Lots of outdoors opportunities.People are very nice. It’s about an hour from Denver a city quite similar to the Springs and so you’ll never really get all that bored.Lots of technology jobs and an economy on the upswing. Great for families, low crime, and overall decent place to live. If you need a bigger city look to Denver. It’s like Colorado Springs with a little less military presence still conservative, outdoorsy, evangelical, etc. but a little more diverse.corrected information he went by Richard. His children except one at the time of death Peggy Baca not Norris. I am the proud 3rd daughter Janet. Dad had a huge kind heart he loved his family. He kept himself busy. If you don’t use it you will lose it. He loved our Mom and I am thankful they are together again. I miss him more than words can say.
